Tree Preservation Order - 63 Sompting Road Lancing pdf icon PDF 10 MB

To consider a report by the Director for the Economy, attached as Item 7.

Minutes:

The Head of Planning and Development advised the report was in relation to a provisional Tree Preservation Order (TPO) that had been placed on a Horse Chestnut tree in the rear garden of 63 Sompting Road, Lancing on 18 August 2020.  The Committee was being asked to consider whether the TPO should be confirmed.

Members were shown a number of photographs to assist in their consideration of the matter.

The Officer advised the tree was an established feature of the area and it was felt its removal would be detrimental to character and visual amenities of the area and street scene.

Decision

The Committee Members unanimously agreed that Adur Tree Preservation Order 2 of 2020 be confirmed as made.
