Decision:
To utilise the LTA framework contract and award the contract to Spadeoak Ltd for the reconstruction of the Church House Grounds tennis courts in Tarring in the sum of £155,449.94 plus VAT.
Reasons for the decision:
The tennis courts at Church House Grounds, Tarring are at ‘end of life’ and require reconstruction. As part of match funding through the LTA, we are able to utilise the LTA framework for delivering the full tennis court reconstruction work. The LTA framework has gone through the necessary procurement requirements to satisfy the Council’s Contract Standing Orders. The tennis court work is to follow on from the extension to the adjacent pavilion, which includes an accessible public convenience which will improve the tennis courts facilities and be accessible to all.
Alternative options considered:
Re-tender the tennis court works through an open tender but potentially risk losing the LTA funding which is time dependent.
