Decision:
To award the contract for the Reopening of Adur’s Leisure Facilities.
Reasons for the decision:
The Council has been actively working towards opening leisure facilities post the insolvency of Adur Community Leisure Ltd post the COVID-19 pandemic.
Alternative options considered:
The Council instructed SLC Leisure Consultants recommended by Sport England to review delivery of leisure services. It was agreed as reported to Members at JSC on 3/11/2020 that the most effective way forward is to make a direct emergency award under the Cabinet Officer guidelines and thereafter to carry out a procurement exercise for a longer term supplier of services after a period of 5 years.
