The Executive Members have considered the report and decided to delegate authority to the Director for the Economy to approve the outcome of the LASER tender process and enter into a contract with the most competitive utility company (or companies), as assessed by LASER, for the delivery of gas supplies to the Councils.
Councillor Elizabeth Sparkes: I approve this decision on the basis of the proposals set out in the report and the fact that there will be ongoing engagement in respect of the award decision. I am content with the suggestion of an application to the Joint Chairman of JOSC to dispense with the call-in period in the interests of expediency.
Councillor Angus Dunn: I am happy to agree the recommendation for the reasons set out in the report.
Councillor Elizabeth Sparkes: None
