Both Cabinet Members support the proposal noting the benefits to both the Council in greater control over the cost of providing temporary accommodation. In addition the significant benefit to households navigating the challenges of homelessness by being able to secure local temporary accommodation. This supports households to retain work, schooling and support networks during a period of such uncertainty.
