A report by the Director for Communities, attached as item 6.

Minutes:

Before the Committee was a report by the Director for Communities, a copy of which had been circulated to all members. The report before members was a section of a proposed review of the licensing fees for 2023/24 which had been presented at the Licensing Committee meeting on 23 January 2023.

The Officer delivered the report clarifying that this section of the report amended some previous errors amongst the figures that had been identified after the meeting on 23 January 2023.

He explained the revised figures and percentages to the members.

The Officer addressed questions from the Members regarding some of the figures supplied and it was noted that some members were keen to continue to have percentages included in future reports.

The amendments to the recommendations were discussed and unanimously approved.

Resolved: To approve the scale of licensing fees proposed within Appendix 1 to apply from 1 April 2023. Also to delegate to the Public Health and Regulation Manager to set the fee in consultation with the Chair of the Licensing Committee following advertisement in the local newspaper for Hackney Carriage, Private Hire Operator and street trading consent fees as detailed in Appendix 1.
