Exclusion of the Press and Public

In the opinion of the proper officer the press and public should be excluded from

the meeting for consideration of item 3. Therefore the meeting is asked to

consider passing the following resolution:

 

‘that under section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and

public be excluded from the meeting from the following items of business on the

grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in

the paragraph of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act indicated against the item.’

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 - Determination of a Review of a Private Hire Driver’s Licence

To consider a report by the Director for Sustainability and Resources, attached as item 3.

Minutes:

Before the Committee was a report by the Director for Sustainability & Resources, a copy of which had been circulated to all members.  Members were requested to consider and determine a review of a Private Hire Driver Licence.

 

The Committee carried out the procedure before it.

The meeting went into closed session at  7.41pm for the members to consider their decision. And reconvened at 8.12pm.

In reaching its decision, the Licensing Sub Committee gave due regard to:

 

All written and oral representations made both at the hearing and in writing;

Human rights legislation and the rules of natural justice;

Relevant legislation and guidance within the Council’s Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Handbook

 

The decision is exempt.
