To consider a report by the Director for Sustainability and Resources copy attached as item 5

Minutes:

The Committee had a report before it attached as item 5,which had been circulated to all Members, a copy of which is attached to a signed copy of these minutes.

 

Resolved:

 

The Joint Audit and Governance Sub Committee considered the contents of the report (including the interview process which took place on 26 February) and made the following recommendations to Adur District Council and Worthing Borough Council:

 

  • That the Councils approve the appointments of John Robinson and John Dimmer to the positions of Independent Persons for a term of up to four years;
  • Agree that the appointments will be subject to termination, by either party, during the term;
  • Agree the appointment of John Robinson and John Dimmer as co-opted non–voting members of the Standards Committee; and
  • Records its thanks to the outgoing Independent Persons, Lindsay Viljoen and Simon Norris-Jones for their excellent services and support to the Councils.
