Declarations of Interest

Minutes:

Councillor Paul High declared an interest as an elected Member of WSCC in respect of applications relating to highways matters.

 

Councillor Noel Atkins declared an interest as an elected Member of WSCC and in relation to items 6.2, Salvington Hill Stores, and 6.3, 88 Salvington Hill, as Ward Councillor for Salvington.

 

Councillor Martin McCabe declared that he was predetermined on item 6.1, St Andrews Gardens, and was registered to speak against the application as Ward Councillor.  The Councillor also declared an interest in item 6.4, Development site at 13 and 14 Fairfields, as a Tarring Ward Councillor.

 

Councillor Helen Silman declared an interest as a resident of High Salvington.  The Councillor had been in communication with members of the public on item 6.2, Salvington Hill Stores, and received correspondence on item 6.3, 88 Salvington Hill, but said that she had not predetermined either application. 

 

Councillor Jim Deen declared an interest in item 6.6, 58-62 Portland Road, as he had received correspondence and been in discussion with the owner of the property and called the matter in as a Ward Councillor but had not predetermined the matter.

 

Councillor Steve Wills declared an interest in 6.1, St Andrews Gardens, as he had been contacted by members of the public but had not predetermined the matter.

So as to provide the best opportunity for the Committee to provide the public with the fullest answer, questions from the public should be submitted by midday on Monday 21 September 2020.

To approve the minutes of the Planning Committee meetings of the Committee held on Wednesday 26 August 2020, which have been emailed to Members.

RESOLVED, that the minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on 26 August 2020 be confirmed as a correct record and that they be signed by the Chairman.
