Decision:
To extend the current Water Services Contract for a further 12 month period.
Reasons for the decision:
The Councils utilise the procurement services of a specialist energy and utility buying framework provided by Kent County Council known as LASER (Local Authority Energy Buying Consortium South East Region) who use their economies of scale to seek tenders on behalf of local authorities. The Councils current contract expires at the end of the financial year and can be extended on the same terms an conditions for 12 months.
Later in the year the Council will then carry out a mini competition utilising LASER`s public procurement framework for a new contract to commence 1st April 2024.
