Purpose:

Current Microsoft agreements due to expire in May/June 2021

Decision:

The Executive Members have agreed to approve the award of the contract for the renewal of the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement on the terms set out in the report.

 

Reasons for the decision:

WBC Executive Member for Digital & Environmental Services: To enable our teams to continue to deliver important front-line services using the best supported and up-to-date software. 

ADC Executive Member for Resources: For the reasons set out in the report. 

 

Alternative options considered:

WBC Executive Member for Digital & Environmental Services:Clearly changing operating system is an option, but the significant migration and training cost rule this out in  my view and renewal with Microsoft represents the best value for the taxpayer.

ADC Executive Member for Resources: No alternatives considered appropriate.
