Decision details

To award the contract for construction of the Portland Road public realm project to Landbuild Ltd at a value of £927,544.

To enter into a contract agreement with Landbuild Ltd in line with the tender ITT and Schedule Of Requirements and Schedule of Bills.

In July 2020 WBC entered into an ESPO framework agreement with Project Centre Ltd for the design and project management of an improved public realm in Portland Road, Worthing.

The project is fully funded and under agreement through Coast to Capital LEP and West Sussex County Council. Further details of which may be found in JSC Report Worthing Public Realm - Delivering enhancements at Portland Road dated 9 June 2020.

In December 2020 a closed procurement process was undertaken and recorded Price & Quality evaluation and moderation undertaken. On January 5 2021 Landbuild Ltd were invited to a consolidation interview to enable the procurement team the opportunity to raise any secondary questions prior to award. The procurement process is now complete with Landbuild Ltd, a local and well established construction company, the successful party.

In order to fulfill the Coast to Capital LEP’s funding requirements WBC is scheduled to award a contract for construction during Q.4 20/21.

RIBA 5 completion due February 2022.
