The Worthing Executive Member for Customer Services has agreed to abstain from this decision as an Adur matter.
The Adur Executive Member for Customer Services, having acknowledged the addendum to the report, has agreed to award the contract to Whittle Programmed Maintenance Limited who emerged as the preferred bidder following a competitive tender process, and that delegated authority be provided to the Head of Housing to award the contract (subject to contract) and thereafter execute it on behalf of Adur District Council.
Reasons for the decision:
The intention is to enhance the common parts and external areas of all blocks within the Beachcroft Place estate. Adur District Council has a legal duty to ensure that its properties are kept in good repair, therefore the work needs to be carried out.
