Approves the award of a contract to the successful tenderer,
DM Habens (The Builder) Ltd to undertake the Refurbishment of the Reception Area for the sum of £336,775.23.
The Worthing Cabinet Member for Communities, Culture and Leisure:
This is predominantly an Adur District Council decision and I am therefore abstaining.
Reasons for the decision:
ADC Cabinet Member for Environment & Leisure: Reception area and glazing have reached the end of their useful life, and repeatedly leak.
Alternative options considered:
ADC Cabinet Member for Environment & Leisure: Continue ad hoc repairs to leaks - not considered a viable option into the future, as the structures continue to deteriorate over time.
