Decision Maker: Adur Cabinet Member for the Environment and Leisure, Worthing Cabinet Member for Communities, Culture and Leisure
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: Yes
Adur Cabinet Member for Environment & Leisure: I agree that the Director for Operations and Sustainability be delegated to implement the tariff changes, set out in detail in the body of the report:
· To agree to the proposed tariff changes in a number of Adur surface car parks.
· To agree to the proposed season ticket tariff changes in a number of Adur surface car parks.
· To agree to introduce Monthly, Quarterly and yearly season tickets at Littlecroft car park, Lancing
WBC Cabinet Member for Regeneration: I agree to abstain from this decision as it is primarily an Adur matter.
Our car park tariffs still represent good value for money for those using them and in turn support the local businesses. Moving forward the extra funds raised will have a positive impact on improving and encouraging more sustainable modes of transport for those able to use them, increasing things such as more cycle storage.
To leave tariffs as they are would not give us the opportunity to raise monies for environmental improvement projects.
